Made from 100% reclaimed Merino or virgin wool sweaters, they come lanolized and felted, ready for use.
Sizing: available in newborn to 3 months, 6 to 12 months, and 12-24 months. Seams are professionally serged, staying snug and smooth against baby and under clothing.
Why Wool??? Wool fibers have been used and trusted by humans for centuries, and unlike PVC cloth diaper covers, there is no off-gassing or deteriorating of wool. A natural fiber that can absorb up to 30% of its weight without feeling wet, it is breathable and antibacterial. Staying cool in summer and warm in winter, wool is great for regukating body temperature and reduces or eliminates diaper rashes.
Wool Cover Care:
Soak in wool wash that contains lanolin for a few hours. Gently squeeze out water, roll in a towel to remove excess water, then hang to dry. CAUTION-DO NOT MACHINE DRY. Garment has been felted, but may still shrink if placed in the dryer. (If cover is loose fitting after a few ears, machine wash on cold and hang to dry or pop in the dryer until most of the moisture is removed.)
